Abundant Life Book Chat Club

This is the first blog of, God willing, many blogs and chats in the newly established Abundant Life Book Chat Club, which has been established by Abundant Life Christian bookstore for the purpose of sharing the wonderful blessings of Christian Books.

Ever since the first printing press was established and the first books were printed, people in general have had a facination and a love for books.

Of course the number one selling book today throughout the world is still the Bible. In fact, an article written By Victor Kiprop on May 25 2018 in the online World Atlas he states, "The Bible is the worlds best selling book, having sold more than 5 Billion copies." The Bible has over the years, decades and centuries continuously outsold millions of other books published, making it the most widely read book throughout the world as well. It has been translated into several languages which have been sold all over the world.

Having said this, in addition to the Bible being the number 1 selling book in the world, and as some have put it God's Love Letter to the pinicle of his creation - humanity, there are many thousands of other books, that come under the banner of Christian literature. These books span many different genres from Christian Living to Family and Parenting to Christian Fiction Novels.

With this in mind, I have decided to start up a Christian Book Chat Club with the opportunity for you the Christian book reader, to comment and to share what you consider an excellent read in the area of Christian Literature.

Each time I write in this blog I will list one book which I think is an excellent read, and I would value you comments and reviews on this book if you have read it. You are also welcome to suggest other Christian books which you may have read, so that it might encourage others to read them as well.

Today's feature book is a book that is currently being made into a feature movie due for release in 2021. I speak of course of "Redeeming Love" by Best Selling Author Francine Rivers.

The folloing is taken from Francine Rivers' biography website about "Redeeming Love" which as she states was the book she wrote after becoming a born - again Christian. Redeeming Love is a "A retelling of the biblical story of Gomer and Hosea set during the time of the California Gold Rush, Redeeming Love is now considered by many to be a classic work of Christian fiction and it continues to be one of the industry’s top-selling titles year after year."

In 2015 Francine Rivers received the Lifetime Achievement Award for American Christian Fiction Writers (ACFW)

As her biography points out Francine Rivers "uses her writing to draw closer to the Lord, and she desires that through her work she might worship and praise Jesus for all He has done and is doing in her life." ( Source: https://francinerivers.com/biography/)

This is a wonderful quality in any writer of Christian Literature including Fiction Novels.
