About The Author: Nancy S. Hill holds a double bachelor's degree in English and French from the University of Texas in San Antonio. She has taught high school English and Christian day school kindergarten, and was involved in designing curriculum for both. Her poetry has been accepted for publication in the periodicals Welcome Home, Texas Monthly, and Writer's Digest. She and her husband of 33 years live in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and are the proud parents of three grown daughters. Nancy began writing devotionals for her own family and in the process became curious about everything from why Campbell's soup cans are red and white (the designer of the can simply liked the colors of the football team's uniforms at Cornell University) to where the word sofa came from (it was originally the name for the pillow that cushioned a camel's saddle). If there's an unanswered question in any child's mind, Nancy is interested in tracking down an explanation.
